I warmly welcome you to Bangladesh Korea Club Limited.
My journey with Korea began in the 1997s when I traveled to South Korea in search of work and a better future. During my time there, I experienced both hardship and humanity. In 1999, after suffering a serious workplace accident, I was uncertain about my future and whether I would receive proper treatment as a migrant worker. At that difficult moment, I witnessed the compassion, professionalism and humanitarian values of the Korean people and government.
With the support of the Korea Workers’ Compensation & Welfare Service (KCOMWEL) under the Ministry of Employment and Labor of South Korea, I received advanced medical care without cost and was able to recover fully. That experience changed my life. Korea, to me, is not only a country of opportunity — it is a symbol of humanity, friendship and generosity.
After returning to Bangladesh in 2004, I established Jeil Pharmacy in Gazipur with the support I received. I named it in honor of the kindness I experienced in Korea. As my business grew, I felt a deep responsibility to give back to society. I began supporting underprivileged students, disadvantaged families and community initiatives in my hometown.
Over time, I realized that the friendship between Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea could be strengthened through an organized and sustainable platform. With that vision, I initiated Bangladesh Korea Club Limited in 2016. What began as a personal commitment to social service gradually evolved into a shared mission with like-minded individuals who believe in cooperation, cultural exchange and humanitarian values.
Our goal is to ensure the welfare of Bangladeshi expatriates connected to Korea, contribute to the socioeconomic development of Bangladesh and promote lasting people-to-people relationships between the two nations. We aspire to establish a Korea Culture Center in Bangladesh and expand programs that support language learning, cultural understanding and community development.
To the young generation, I say: pursue success with integrity, respect other cultures and always remember that true achievement lies in serving others. Let your experiences, wherever you go, become a source of strength for your community and your country.
I dream of a future where Bangladesh and Korea stand even closer as trusted friends and partners — where knowledge, culture, skills and goodwill move freely between our peoples for the benefit of both nations.
I sincerely invite Korea returnees, Korean friends and well-wishers to join us in this meaningful journey. Together, let us build a bridge of friendship, service and opportunity that will grow stronger for generations to come.
With gratitude and best wishes,
